Vinyl love: Arcade Fire “The suburbs”

(Vinyl Love is a series of posts that quite simply lists, describes, and displays the pieces in my growing vinyl collection. You can bet that each record was given a spin during the drafting of each corresponding post.)

Artist: Arcade Fire
Album Title: The suburbs
Year released: 2010
Details: black vinyl, double LP, gatefold sleeve, innersleeves with lyrics and credits

The skinny: The Grammy-winning third album by Montreal’s indie rock collective led by Win Butler and Régine Chassagne. According to Butler, it “is neither a love letter to, nor an indictment of, the suburbs – it’s a letter from the suburbs.”

Standout track: “Sprawl II (Mountains beyond mountains)”

      1. Unfortunately, I don’t believe this album is on Spotify. I think they made some sort of agreement with Tidal for this one. Streaming problems.

    1. I’m working on selling all mine off for store credit so I can buy more vinyl. Haha. I want to get Neon bible too but I think I’ll pass on Reflektor.
