(Vinyl Love is a series of posts that quite simply lists, describes, and displays the pieces in my growing vinyl collection. You can bet that each record was given a spin during the drafting of each corresponding post.)
Artist: The Beatles
Album Title: Abbey road
Year released: 1969
Year reissued: 2012
Details: black vinyl, 180 gram, stereo remaster
The skinny: The eleventh and final studio album by The Beatles has some very fine moments, despite what must have been a difficult recording session.
Standout track: “Here comes the sun”

Here comes the sun! I was just talking about George recently.
Nice one! I’ll bet the 180g RM is a lovely thing.

It’s got less of the frills that Sgt. Peppers included but it sounds real nice nonetheless.

Cool. C’mon over and we’ll compare it to my old original copy over some beers! In the name of science!

“Here Comes the Sun” – absolutely! What a beautiful song. It’s a great one to put on when you just need that sun to warm your sad soul.

That second side especially deserves to be heard on vinyl!

It was quite a lovely listen his Sunday morning with AC whirring in the background.

I’m with Geoff’s comment. Side 2 is without doubt, my favourite side of any Beatles record. What I like about the re-released vinyl versions of the albums is that they seem to maintain that same warmth of the originals, making you realize that they were always meant to be enjoyed on this format. Or is it just my romantic vinyl loving notion???

Could be a bit of both. They do sound very nice and yes, very warm.

Side 2 is perfection.

That’s what everyone keeps saying. I’m thinking a poll on favourite album sides might be in order. Where’s Geoff?

Best Side 2s blog or albums where Side 2 is better than side one would be cool. Either way, Back in Black would be on my list.
